Howdy all!

Just wanted to establish a Doc Savage thread here on the new boards and find out if we have any updates on the upcoming scriptbooks.

Any good words Moonstone Gal?

Signing off from my vacation in Taiwan!

Ticktock
Well, this is what I get for going on vacation! I missed the announcement over at Newsarama. Congratulations to Joe, Dave, and everyone else at Moonstone on getting the Man of Bronze in their grubby mitts!

Ticktock signing off from Taiwan!
Hey Ticktock I badgered them a wee bit about it under the Moonstone Mania section. Brothers in Bronze unite! cool
Thanks for the heads-up Professor. Long live the Man of Bronze!

Well, we do have some further info at this time, but still no timeframe yet I'm afraid. Doug Klauba will indeed be doing the all new cover painting. AND the plan is right now for Doug to do some of the spot interior illustrations and Dave Dorman might do some of the interior spot illustrations too! When we have more concrete info, I will let everybody know!

Thank you Moonstonegal. You're the best!

Hello All,

This is me checking in on the Doc Savage project. Any new word on the Man of Bronze?

Thanks! thumbs up
Hey Ticktock,
Doc Savage! Yes, near and dear to me.
I just had a meeting last week with Ye Ed: Joe Gentile about the book (among other things). The interior spots are being illustrated by a good friend of mine, illustrator Tom Roberts, who has worked at Neal Adams' Continuity Studio, Marvel, DC and is also a Pulp historian. Tom and I are working on the look of The Man of Bronze to present to Moonstone, which should be finalized shortly.
I will then prepare to paint the cover.
Although I am a big fan of the James Bama cover paintings and the John Buscema, Marvel magazine stories, Tom and I are sticking with the Pulp style of the Baumhofer paintings and as Lester Dent has described him.
Sorry, I don't have any estimated time as when you would see anything. But, we will post any update here if Moonstone is ready.
Thanks for your enthusiasm about Doc Savage and feel free to share your thoughts about him and his five friends. I hope that this is just the beginning of some new projects...
Doug
Thank you Doug, for you time and response. I am very glad to hear you are using the Baumhofer paintings and Lester Dent's description. This should work exceptionally well (IMHO) with the script books.

I'm not familiar with Tom Roberts name, but if he put in time with Neal Adams, then he has got to have a lot on the ball. This is good news for any Doc Savage fan.

Best of luck to you, Tom and Moonstone. May this, to paraphrase you, be the beginning of many new projects.
