I know this dosen't really answer the question, but out of all the Falk stories I've read, the majority of my favorites fall in the Ray Moore/ early Wison McCoy times.

The pre-WWII, when Falk was a fresh writer, is the best of copurse! Long interesting adventure, with Diana as his girlfriend, and not a "burden"!

Reading and using some of that fealing for new stories would be a smart move! But, I think that stories about the 21. Pahntom always should be sat in present day! Even if you use story telling teknics from pre WW2 the stories should be from today, unless you are writing about a former Phantom of course!

Well, they are, but I also find great pleasure in reading all McCoy stories! Not so filled with action, perhaps, a little more relaxed in stories?

There are indicates that Falk had less to do with the script these days, McCoy very much ran the show alone!

Something to remeber here is that the 21st Phantom has always been sown in "present time"! That will mean we can't have him in pre WWII in a story written today!!

Agree?

I'm not sure I even understand, Ivan, so it's hard to know if I agree or not. If you're saying you can't have modern stories set in historical times, then yes, that goes without saying. If you're saying something else, then you'll need to ellaborate.

I am saying you can't put a modern Phantom (the 21st) in historic times! Stories taking place in the years right before WW2 has to be chronicles, I am not sure what Phantom, but I am sure you figure it out! wink
