I'm interested in hearing what is your favorite era of Phantom stories. In addition, I'd love to know what about that era really gets you excited. So far, for me, it's the pre WWII stuff, granted that's what I've had the most exposure to so far (although I did manage to get several Frew Annuals and have read 75% of the stories in them). While I recognize Mr. Falk's skill as a writer became far greater the older he got, I think the raw excitement of the early stuff is really excellent.

For me it's the same as you Mike. Of the stories I've been able to read that were written in that time [the 40's] I've just been amazed at the great story telling. He injected humour into his stories as well and as you said the raw excitement of the early stuff is really exciting. In my eyes the art work is so different and I liked how Diana was shown. My favouirte Phantom story of all time, "The Phantom Goes to War" was published during that time as well!

I like pretty much anything with pirates in it, so you might want to make some stories from any eras with pirates... Grin

Or, you could do like Mark Verheiden on his Phantom run for DC; have the Phantom running into modern day, evil, high tech pirates.

Been there, done that. Hopefully, you'll like it. Grin03

Excellent. Is it an up-to-date take on Singh, maybe?
Early phantom comics has been excellent. I loved those.
It would have been nice to see a "sequel" of sorts to Legacy, with the first Phantom trying to establish the legend that will later on define the character, by appearing as "ghostly" and mysterious as possible. In comic book format, of course. Grin

I had to read that a few times to grasp what you meant. But, if I'm correct, you're asking for a story that falls in time right after Legacy ends, and told in comic book format versus the Legacy "Chronicles" format?

That would be fun.

Well, yeah, that's what I meant. Yes, it was a very long sentence. Grin
Gotcha thumbs up
