Jeez, what is this Pippi? You seem to have attacked everything I've posted on these forums.
The validation process is to add security to the forums. We implemented it because a certain troublesome member would continue to sign up and annoy posters. The validation system simply lets us check if the new registrations are this member or not and if they aren't then we allow the access to the forum. If it is that trouble member, however, we do not allow access.
I really can't understand why people see validation as such a big personal insult as many, many online forums do it. Perhaps if you actually looked at CC for yourself rather than listen to hearsay you'd know what we are all about.
