I'm putting together another edition of the Underground Edition of the WW1 newsletter. This is a paper newsletter mailed out to fans and members of Team Banzai. After the mailing the publication does get offered in an electronic format (PDF) so that those that do not receive the physical mailing can read and enjoy the newsletter from online.

What I'm looking for are some articles and essays. The basic format and length is around 800 to 1200 words and can be on just about any topic that you can tie-in with the world of Buckaroo Banzai and the Team Banzai. Essays could range from Zen or cowboy philosophies and their way of life, being of service to others and the community, scientific or biomedical research and discoveries to education advancements, self defense, rock-and-roll, jet cars, ancient secrets and new mysteries or speculative text about Team Banzai and their activities.

In addition, interviews, drawing and artwork are welcome and I'm happy to chat about other ideas you might have for the newsletter. As a note, I am not excepting "fan fiction" for this newsletter.

For what's been published in the past you can find previous issues of the WW1 newsletters online for free at BBI ArcLight's website: http://www.worldwatchonline.com/library.htm
The WW1 Underground companion website is at:

So now that I've got the invitation out for contributors how about I toss out a question as well:
What would you like to see in the next issue, any particular topics or interviews?

Thanks,

Okay, many of you have viewed this thread but no one has posted. I'll elaborate some more, see if I can't get one or two of you to perk up a bit and respond.

I'm aiming for this next newsletter to take the "Underground" aspect further and have much of this issue be a more on the edge and controversial. I'd like it to challenge the way people, the readers think about excepted ideas inside and outside of Team Banzai. Essays should have some sort of "Banzai" tie-in but in a world as diverse as this, it's not hard to connect to something.

An opportunity to be published, to be heard. To be part of BB history.

Here are a couple of basic ideas that are open to your curious and inspired writers;

"The Moral Implications of the Strike Team, Vigilantism or...,"
I'd love to see someone tackle the whole strike team vigilantism issue. With the concern over terrorism internal and external, a group of trained and well armed citizens taking "the law into their own hands" so-to-speak as Team Banzai might be viewed, could be a bit scary to many, average citizens, law enforcement and government. On the other hand, it is our constitutional right to form a militia… and yet as any "right" we have, this one can be abused and twisted. My thought is to have someone look at Team Banzai as a group that might be considered from the outside looking in as board line abusing this right, or are they simple addressing a call that needs to be answered?

The Team Banzai Principals
"The Five Stresses in Real Life."
Decorum, Courtesy, Public health, Discipline, and Morals.

"The Four Beauties in Real Life."
Beauties of Mind, Language, Behavior, and Environment.

"The Three Loves in Real Life."
Love of Others, Justice, and Love of Freedom.

Are these principals practical, meaningful, even acceptable in the modern world we life in? If they are, how does one go about expressing them? If some are not desirable, even unrealistic how do we as members of Team Banzai reconcile this? Are these old ideas that could be seen as disruptive to what is considered "normal" today?
Take on one set of principals, The 5 Stresses, or The 4 Beauties, or the 3 Loves, or manage to look at them all in the allotted space for an essay.

Controversial scientific, technology or biomedical research and discoveries.
There are many topics in these categories, from stem cell research, to cloning to bioengineering to weather modification, even the Space Program.

Just a few ideas.
