Just wanted to pop my posting cherry here by saying how much I appreciate the good folks at Moonstone for the superb work on all the Kolchak projects. I was about 12 when the first movie aired and have been a Nightstalker fan ever since. For many years I thought I was a very rare breed (a Kolchak nut), and that there was precious little to feed the need. Then I literally stumbled across my introduction to Moonstone and was in nirvana!
I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every offering I have been fortunate enough to lay hands to. I am arriving late at the party so I'm in catch-up mode and haven't read them all, but I will.
So again...thank you, thank you, thank you! Your hard work and talents have made me a very happy camper.

P.S. The Phantom series is next for me - woot!
Hey! Welcome aboard, Janos! Glad you've been enjoying it so far. Much more to come... so stay tuned!
You couldn't get rid of me now even if you tried, Dave - I'm hooked!

Here's a head up Janos!
I just finished editing our very first full-length Kolchak Novel, written by mystery novelist CJ Henderson, and let me just say, I think you and the rest of the Kolchak fans are going to love it! Great read, with lots of fun tidbits thrown in for fans of the old movies/tv show. We hope to have it out spring of 2007. We'll keep you posted as we get closer to the release date!

Thank you, Moonstone Gal. Can't wait to get my mitts on it!
I love it when there are little tip-of-the-birdfeeders here & there to the classic Carl.
Keep up the good work,
Janos

So Moonstone does full lengh Novel's now? Sounds cool!
BTW is this the Novel to go with the Kolchak/Holmes mini series that I was reading about in that Interviwe with Joe Gentile and Dave Ulanski?
Nope... Joe and I put out "Bare Bones," which is a collection, kind of a different sort of book for the collector and the curious. He and I have both written several Kolchak comics, and we thought it's be fun to collect the actual scripts we'd written for the artists to work from, and release them in book form.
Extra perks (or deterants, depending on your point of view) to the book are commentaries from Joe and myself about our stories... how we feel about them, what we were thinking at the time, maybe some behind-the-scene info... and even a little mindless babbling! Plus, he and I collaborated on a brand-new, not-yet-seen story to add to this collection. Not only is it cool because it's a brand-new story, but Joe and I working together on something at all, much less without killing ourselves or each other, is nothing short of monumental!
It may not be for everybody. It doesn't read quite like a regular book, it IS a book of scripts. So it takes a little getting used to. But it's a cool look at the working process of things, a fun addition to your Kolchak collection, and hey... it is still a fun kinnda read! Think about checking it out! Really!
"Casebook" and "Bare Bones" have both been pre-ordered through Amazon.com. I, for one, can't wait to get my hands on them!
And I love the behind-the-scenes stuff and your commentary. Please...babble on! Maybe it isn't for everybody, but it absolutely is for me.
Also, and this may not be the place for it - if not, please forgive - any chance a Kolchak nut like me could purchase artwork?

You're a really persuasive guy LOL;p. I can see the positives in buying something like this, as a new Kolchak fan this would be really cool to have!! Will check it out.. as soon as possible!

Hello! Well, I can't speak for the entire band of artists, but the handful of Kolchak covers and illustations I do from time to time turns up on my agent's website (I'll be sending him a few new pieces this upcoming week)... unless he sells them before he scans them. But in any case, the website is http://www.catskillcomics.com. Then ya just click on my name, Dave Ulanski! Right by my name, you'll also notice Keith Williams is listed, and he's inked quit a lot of Kolchak work for us, so he may have some as well. Another of Catskill's associates is Ron Frenz, who is in the process of finishing up a Kolchak story for us, so those pages may become available, also. If you don't see anything pictured under these names, email Catskill and tell them you're interested in Kolchak art when it becomes available... I'm sure they'll get in touch with you. Hope that helps!
