Mark just told me that he's too busy with Battlestar Galactica to work on other projects, but he is appreciative that fans still look kindly upon his work on the DC Phantom comics.

*SIGH* I wish I could talk to guys like Mark Verheiden!

I interviewed Mark for Friends of the Phantom, and we've spoken a few times since. He's a nice, friendly sort of person, but I kept our conversations short since I know he's very busy with TV projects.
Once I actually called him at his Smallville office.

Someone had just emailed me asking a question regarding Mark two days ago, and I called him. They wanted permission to use a photo he had given me for a site and he was very gracious in granting their request.

I've really enjoyed his work for TV including the Time Cop series, Smallville (he wrote some of the best episodes), even Freaky Links was entertaining.

I suspect he rarely if ever does comic conventions anymore, but if you ever run into him, I'm sure you'll find him to be pleasant and approachable.

I loved FreakyLinks. Wish that would come out on DVD.
