Jim's been very successful in following his instincts so far. I feel he's helped Frew continue and I have hundreds of Frews before he took over. His Frews are definitely the best,
However, I wouldn't be surprised if he were influenced by reviews on the deepwoods regarding Australian fans reaction to Moonstone.

I mean Moonstone is difficult to obtain. They are not licensed to promote or sell them in Australia, so you need to find secondary sources and deal with currency exchanges and mailing.
Takeing the thought of the deepwoods site as the all-say forAussie fans is just stupid becasue the guy who runs it is extramly opinionated ands many phans don't agree with him. On the same token, takeing what Aussie phans say on messageboards (and yes, I include CC in that) is also not a good measure of what the wider public wants because only a minority post on them.

I spoke with Jim about publishing a Moonstone story. Egmont no longer produces enough stories, so he has to search through older Semic work. He felt that Frew fans wouldn't appreciate Moonstone's approach. Perhaps after seeing Mike's work, he will reconsider.

I prefer the old semic stuff than the average stuff coming out of Egmont lately though....

If people can be at all bothered they aren't that hard ot get. Comic stores have them here, and you can also buy them on-line. I'm yet to see a comic store in Australia that dosen't have Moonstones Phantom.
