In my effort to get caught up on everything Kolchak Moonstone has to offer I've just recently read issues 3 & 4 of Tales of the Night Stalker.

I know they're old news to you guys, but I'm new to all this. Bear with me.

I very much liked "Creatures of Habbit" & "More Creatures" only slightly less. The artwork in story 1 is more to my tastes & reminds me of comics from my youth.

#4, "Scratch", was really good! It helped that I read it on a dark & stormy night (no, really!) when my power was out. Afterwards I avoided mirrors until the lights came back on.

I love it when characters from the show are incorporated into the books. I liked that Tony leveled with Carl about why he kills his stories. It made Tony a little more human, I thought.

I do wish, however, that they would've at least drug Ron out of the house at the end. Even it was by the scruff of the neck & through the rain & mud. Being Ron, he really couldn't help himself, and besides, who knows what else was in that old, dark house? Besides a corpse I mean...*

All in all two very enjoyable reads.

Not for me they aren't! I've been a Kolchak fan for all of 2 months! I haven't even seen the movies or any of the episodes from the tv shows.

I'm going to buy these two issues at the start of October [when "GHOST STORIES" get's published:mrgreen:. I hope the same thing happens to me when I'm reading #4 [dark stormy night with the power off!] ! I really do hope they're as the "Tales" I've read so far!:grin:

First of all, glad you can find some newer thrills in a couple of older issues of Kolchak Tales... both of you! Thanks for the kind words! I have to say, of the issues I've written, "Scratch" is probably the one I'm most proud of so far. So it warms my heart on even the darkest, coldest, stormiest night to hear that ya'll got some enjoyment from it, too.

You want more Kolchak action? Well, "Ghost Stories" is getting close. Actually, the secret is, it was looking like that was gonna be really, really late, and blow right past Halloween before it arrived. It's actually looking like it may be just plain late, though, and hopefully still arrive in time for Halloween reading. Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted!

And last but far from least... the Kolchak Casebook is very close to ready, also! So you'll be reading those sixteen all-new short stories before ya know it. Good stuff! I mean it!
