One thing puzzles me, though: The cover sketch which features the Phantom fighting something that looks an awfully lot like cavemen... Does this mean that Bengalla will have yet another hidden civilization which the Phantom can stumble upon? I mean, how many can there be in one country?
I particularly like the second cover. Who's the guy holding the knife/sword?
"I’ve also been brought onboard a new publisher to help develop an entire line of comics that are set to launch sometime next year. Once the original books take off, I’ll settle in to write one of the main titles for them. I can’t say much more than that at this time, but I can tease you with the fact that I think Phantom Phans will be very interested in this new line of books.
On top of all that, I’m working on a Phantom special project that we hope to have in stores next summer with artist Ruben Procopio bringing the visuals and a gorgeous cover from Leonel “Valkyries” Castellani."
I'm looking forward to seeing what this new company has to offer [being a Phantom Phan and all:mrgreen:].
Any one heard of RUBEN PROCOPIO?? I haven't!! I wanna know what that special project is [badly]!!

LoL. Very nice artwork for the ANNUAL! I like his style.

This story takes place in Uganda.
He's a member of the Grinning Skulls street gang... and he's not really fond of guys in purple underwear.
Very well. I hope the artist didn't believe that people from Uganda looked like that, though.
Are the Grinning Skulls your own creation? I'm asking because there are still many Falk stories which I have not been able to get my hands on, so I wouldn't know if you have modernized one of his old gang of crooks or not.
Like the name, though, and I look forward to see how they react to see the mark of a grinning skull coming from the guy in spandex.
It'll make sense when you read the story.

Yeah, I created them. Although the setting they appear in was born in Mr. Falk's imagination.
