In the nice and new BARE BONES collection, Joe Gentile refers to a short story in the KOLCHAK CASEBOOK book. What's that then? When did it come out and does it have another name.

The MOST annoying thing about MOONSTONE is that the titles keep changing and there is usually more than one title to one book. Please if anyone has any info on this CASEBOOK, let me know.

I've also heard someone is releasing the Jeff Rice or Matheson scripts books again at a large price?

Hello! Thought I'd take a moment to address the issue, here...

First of all, the Kolchak Casebook referred to in Bare Bones is about to go to press, and will be out soon (though not quite as soon as Mr. Brucey has quoted, as it need to BE printed and distributed. My guess is by about the same date in November.) So you haven't missed it.

As far as titles that keep changing? The Kolchak Casebook has not changed title, and honestly, as co-publisher of Moonstone since the beginning, I can't think of any instances off the top of my head where we HAVE changed the title of a book, so I'm not sure what you're reffering to, there. I'm also a little foggy on the "usually more than one title to one book" thing. Are you referring to, say, "Kolchak the Night Stalker: Devil in the Details?" That's simply the name of the character or property, followed by the name of the story. Like "Star Wars: Dark Force Rising" or "Indiana Jones and the Dance of the Giants" or "Doctor Who: The Attack of the Daleks," etc. And all of these Kolchak books have all be released with the only title they were ever promoted as.

So, Kolchak" The Night Stalker Casebook will be out very soon. As far as the Matheson script books, I have no information about that, currently.

It would appear I wasn't speaking words or truth of all!! I got the release date from the UPCOMING RELESE DATES page Moonstone has on it's website.

Trust no one, Brucey... trust no one.

No even Moonstone?
Oh, especially those Moonstone guys (and gal). Shady lot of characters, all of 'em! Hide your silverware, I tell ya...
[attachment=4]But I still find it unclear what the actually current official pub date is now. Is that November 15 accurate? I pre-ordered through a local comic shop, so I wonder when it might get into the stores.

Thanks!
There will be a slight update in the release date... there was numerous errors on the proofs for the books that we weren't comfortable letting slide, so we're doing some corrections. After all, we wanna give ya something that looks good, right? It's all for you guys, I promise!
But anyway, we haven't forgotten about ya, and the casebook is still allllllmost ready to go back to the printers. If I was involved with that one more editorially, I might have more solid info for ya, but my job as "art director" on that project is finished, so I get to nap now. There should be official word on that soon, though! Keep the faith!

Thanks, Dave. As A longtime Kolchak fan, I appreciate everything that you folks at Moonstone are doing with the character (but will that Kolchak/Sherlock Holmes project ever come out?), and I'm just champing at the bit for this second prose anthology. Even got a buddy of mine to pick up the first, and he loved it.

I'll keeping watching the skies!
