'We are here! We are here!' to quote the Whos.

As with Janos, life tends to interfere with my hobbies entirely too much. I am looking, with great anticipation, to the Kolchak and the Frankenstein Monster. Keep pushing all the Kolchak you can write Moonstone Dave. I'll be here to buy it!

To answer TCH and echo Arclight, Amazon.com has everything Kolchak you could ever want. The complete series, both movies and quite a bit of Moonstone's own catalogue.

Oh, and Brucey, just remember that the only really crazy ones out there are the folks who aren't fans of Carl Kolchak. The rest of us are just fine. wink

Not a huge Kolchak fan, but I did enjoy the mummy two parter with Bill the Eygption.

May try and pick up the rest of 'Tales of...' if I get some extra disposable income.

Am looking forward to the FRankenstien story too.

Is the old TV show out on DVD? The issue of 'Tales of...' that mentioned the plant man reminded me that was one of the few episodes that I remember watching and got thinking my son might appreciate seeing the show.

Now that I've said that: have their been any Kolchak comics that were sequels to TV episodes?

Hello! No, there haven't been an sequels yet. Not directly. I've referred to the episodes a few times, including "The Spanish Moss Murders" on several occasions. (probably the episode you were referring to above.) And we've done soe adaptations, including some unfilmed episodes... but no sequeals. We have, however, discussed it. So ya never know! Stay tuned...

In my ongoing effort to become a better person, I have added the two Kolchak movies to my Netflix queue.

Hoping the hold up well and my son doesn't roll his eyes at them too much.
Kids today, if it's not anime, I have to drag him to the TV.

Spainish Moss murders was the episode I was thinking of. That and the one with the werewolf on a cruise ship are for some reason the only episodes I have any vivid memories of.

Cool! Thnaks... the series is coming along well, and if you read Previews magazine, you'll see the first issue of Kolchak Tales: The Frankenstein Agenda is being solicited as we speak, right now!

I did want to take a moment to clear something up, as a lot of people have been getting excited about "The Frankenstein AGENDA" for the wrong reasons, and I don't wanna mislead anybody! Let's remember that Frankensteain, technically, was the man, not the monster. Aaaaand the series is not Kolchak: The Frankenstein Monster," either. Sadly, we won't see the tall guy with the flat head and neck bolts running around in this series. Dr> Frankenstein was a mad scientist, if you will. He conducted experiments, accomplished some questionable feats with human life... and "The Frankenstein AGENDA" is a metaphor, reflecting that. Someone with a similar agenda... a plan.

That being said, know that I am in no way saying this book won't be fun, and cool! Aaaand, also let it be said that I am not saying there's not monster or monsters IN it. Hey, it's me... I'm the guy that's all about "show me the monster." I just wanted to make sure you all know it's in no way associated with Mary Shelly's book, with Universal Studios' monster, or anything else. Just all-original, all-fun stuff! You'll still love it... I promise!

Actually, I'm kind of glad that we won't see the traditional monster.  One of the things that always made the character of Kolchak stand out was the "twist" we would see on various monsters.  Skorzeny using those girls as a blood bank rather than constantly finding new victims and creating more vampiresfor example.

Thanks Dave and keep delivering the good stuff for us.
