hey Phantom folks,

I just wanted to give my humble opinion about wide-vision. I bought Law of the Jungle and I like the photographic/computer created artwork but I'm not sure I like the widevision thing. All that unused space kind of bothered me. Maybe I am being anal, I dunno.

I am getting Man-Eaters and I'll give widevision another chance but I would prefer the artwork were laid out in traditional comic form.

I hope that doesn't sound too negative. Moonstone does The Phantom right and I get everything you folks put out.
Wether it works or does not, it was still worth the try and its good to see the Phantom portrayed in a different format for a change.
The release date page says this story will be released on January 10. Is this accurate?

I really hope so. In the meantime, some online previews would be fine. wink
Alas, it's on its way!!! Hitting the stores this week!!
FINALLY! THE 5 MONTH WAI T IS OVER!!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

There are some Black and White images of some random sketches from an old interview with Rafael Nieves here:

Some colour previews would be nice:grin

I flipped through Man-Eaters at my local comic shop this afternoon. Before I comment, let me preface by saying I really, really love the Phantom and I really, really want to love what Moonstone is doing. Which is why it pains me to say that my enthusiasm plunged upon seeing Man-Eaters. I'm OK with wide-vision and I know Vatche the artist personally - but I just cannot bring myself to spend big bucks when the Phantom doesn't appear until page 59! Sorry Moonstone.

You might want to actually read it, as The Phantom appears far sooner than page 59.

I've only had time to read to page 31 so far, but it's very gripping. So much so, that I've gotten behind schedule in other areas while I steal 10 minutes here and there to read this. Rafael has done a wonderful job. It's a shame he didn't have time to write a story for the prose collection.

Oh, I definitely plan to read it. I just won't be buying it.
