I asked my comic store about this and they said not last week (26/01/07) but maybe next week (3/2/07).
I got my copy. Still haven't read it though, and it might take some time to get to it, being busy as I am lately.

Phew. Thanks Germ.

I wonder if Man Eaters and the Annual will become available from the UK Amazon? It would save me a great deal of money ordering the books from Britain instead of the US.
This is a very nice comic. The story is good, artwork even better. Though I will still prefer the "normal" comics artwork instead of this "widescreen" stuff, still this "Man Eater" is a really nice story and I am sure phans will enjoy this issue a lot. Keep up the good work, Moonstone.

Moonstone comics are available in several comics’ stores in Australia, even though, if my understanding of the situation is correct, FREW has the rights to publish Phantom in Australia. Then what’s stopping Moonstone from making their Phantom comics available in at least some big bookstores in India. The situation is even more puzzling when one considers the fact that right now, unlike Australia; no publisher is putting out any Phantom book in India.
I am not asking Moonstone to make sure that their Phantom comics are available with every newsagent & at every bookstore & A H Wheeler bookshop across India. But these comics can be made available at some big bookstore chains such as Crossword or Variety so that phans can easily buy them.
Perhaps someone from Moonstone will be kind enough to throw some light on this little mystery.
Moonstone distributes thier books through Diamond so it may have more to do with Diamonds distributing than anyhting to do with Moonstone. If no one in India has contacted Diamond to buy books from them then they aren't going to ship any there. It's not Moonstone's fault as they can't sell book to retailers who haven't ordered them.
What happened to the stripes on the Phantom's costume in the illustrations?

Did they fade away due to washing with eco-unfriendly detergent?

The story is, quite frankly, enjoyable, save for the totally needless epilogue.

The epilogue is pointless tripe and dilutes an otherwise powerful and apt ending.
I really, really, really enjoyed this. It wasn't the most original idea I'l ladmit (blokes dressing up as lions/tigers etc has been done before) but it was written very well and it kept me hooked like any good story should. Well doen to all invloved!

Sounds like a leopard man discussion we had over on the Phantom Phorum years ago...
