I finally read Man-Eaters a week ago, and boy, it didn't dissapoint. This is by far the best story of 2007 this far, and perhaps, in my eyes, the best Moonstone's done with the character (it would be between this one and Legacy). RAFAEL NIEVES, ARE YOU OUT THERE? Please, I beg you, write more Phantom stories.

The story was pretty close to perfection, capturing the mystique that makes the character so cool in the first place and doing the rarest of things in a Phantom story: Introducing interesting supporting characters with real personalities. Bravo!

Every now and then, a story comes up reminding me why I became a phan, and this was one of them,. Law of the Jungle felt like a cool episode of a Phantom TV-series, and this one was more like The Phantom: The Live Action Movie. It took quite some time to read through it, so the money was definetely worth it.

In short, I applaud everyone involved in making this story. My only small irk was that the otherwise excellent artwork sometimes "fell behind" the progress of the story, but hey, who am I to nitpick.

And finally, I repeat, such a great writer ought to write ALOT more Phantom stuff.
Finally got around to reading my copy.
It was fun. Art reminded me of Sam Kieth.

Took a cliche story idea and soaked it suspense and great jungle atmosphere. The writer really nailed the Phantom character and it was nice how everyone else in the cast saw him in a different way.

The epilogue was pretty pointless though.
