Ok, here I am with another wild and crazy idea for you Moonstone guys to use if you'd like...

As I understand it, Moonstones Buckaroo Banzai 3-part mini-series take place after the events in the original movie. And back when the movie was new, Marvel Comics produced a 2-part comics adaptation of a movie. With these facts in mind, do you think it could be possible to release a TPB that collects not only Moonstone's miniseries, but also the original movie adaptation? Think

I guess this idea could quickly be shot down by a "No, our rights to Buckaroo does not include reprinting the old movie adaptation", but to me it sounds like a pretty cool idea ;p

I suspect that a TPB of your mini-series will see the light of day sooner or later anyway, but this would be an amazing bonus feature, esp. for those of us who missed the movie adaptation the first time

That sounds like a really cool idea. It probably means having to deal with Marvel since they put out the original film adaptation way back when. Don't know how that might hurt/help matters. Man, that adaptation was done such a long time ago: I wonder if it would even be possible to track down the original art for a re-print. It's not like that stuff was saved in a digital format back then. It could take a bit of leg-work tracking things down.

The good news is that the 2-part adaptation does pop up pretty frequently for sale on eBay, and usually at pretty reasonable prices. Worth checking out if you wanna.
