Whatever happened to David Norliss? You know, from Dan Curtis's failed Kolchak-esque TV pilot The Norliss Tapes? It was recently released on DVD and it got me thinking. It would make for a great story if Kolchak tracked him down and the two characters teamed up.

On a side note, my message board account mysteriously disappeared since my last post and I had to reregister. Strange. Very Strange, indeed.
So I take it nobody has seen The Norliss Tapes?
I know it by reputation, but have yet to see it.
Nuh I haven't seen it, I'm still kinda new the world of Kolchak so I've never actually heard of these tapes LOL

Hey there! I'm afraid I don't haver a lot of information on your question. Our licensing connections are specifically with Jeff Rice (the creator of the Kolchak character) and his people, not Dan Curtis who was associated exclusively with the show itself. We have no particular license that would enable us to use David Norliss in print, as he is in no way associated with Mr. Rice or our Kolchak agreement. That's all I can say for sure!

That's cool. It's just a fan-boy "What-If?" situation I thought of as I watched the movie for the first time a few weeks back. The Norliss Tapes is rumored to be what happened to a third Kolchak movie script that was shelved which is where I drew the connection between the two.
I read the description at Amazon.com and it certanly sounds like it could have been another episode of The Night Stalker.

Does anyone know if there were any written plots, synopsis, etc. for second season?  That would also be a mystery worthy of Carl.

As far as what we've been told, there was indeed a third unfilmed movie (The Night Killers), which we will be adapting as a graphic novel. There were a couple of unfilmed television scripts, which were intended for the first season, but they fell short of making those last couple. I believe the word was out early enough ragarding the series' cancellation after the first season that no scripts were commisioned for a second season.

Thank you Dave! The Night Killers is one of those items we constantly hear about but never see. This is excellent news. I seem to remember that there was a scriptbook put out sometime (not here was it?), but I have never seen a copy anywhere.

Thanks again!
