OK getting back to the comic itself....

I got it today and while quickly reading it on the way home on a stinking bus on a stinking hot day it was a pleasure to escape for a little while....

I will re-read it more carefully and post my views like usual.

Im not quite used to this 22 odd page story lines though. Takes a lil to get used too as im used to 30 odd pages from Egmont.
Can't wait to hear your thoguhts Germ. I'll have my review up on ChronicalChamber next Monday (27th) for those interested.

Personaly I'm used to the 22 page format as I read alot of American comics, but sometimes the stories feel rushed, so I know what you mean.
I read this a couple of days ago, and as I mentioned elsewhere I really liked the issue. Great action, great pacing, and an all around fun comic.
Glad you liked it, Shep.

So, as I was saying, a critique from an artist is no more valid than one from a viewer, but one from an art historian might carry more insight.

It is when you say things like this I wonder if you really want people like me to participate in your forum.

I am a huge comic fan with a viewer's (as opposed to an art historian's) insight, but I can assure you that I view my long experience of comics as insightful. In many instances I cannot technically advice an artist how he or she should re-apply their skills to please me, but I can give my honest opinion as a consumer what I think about any product, and I base that on decades of end-user experience and a huge heart.

Being curteously but effectively downgraded to a second-tier beholder and having some no-go areas dictated to me in how I conduct myself is the fastest way of pulling the plug on my posting.

Before I log out, a quick note about courtesy versus anynomity: It is true that the going seems to be tougher on the bulletin boards as opposed to public conventions. For what it is worth, though, I can almost guarantee any artist that they will get more honest appraisals of their work in this kind of environment than they do at said conventions.

Did I miss something there?

Well, you may have hit it on the nail there. Perhaps I am too thick.
