To me, all that matters is that people enjoy it. And since I have lots of people telling me they enjoy it, and I know I'm getting more comfortable with the character, that will continue until Moonstone stops putting the book out, which won't be any time soon.

So does this mean that sale figures are up for both #12 and #13?

Yes.

That is AWESOME news!
Looks like all that promoting The Phantom on the net has started to pay of!
I'm not complaining here as it's Christmas time, but I was just wondering why the on-going won't be out this month (December). I know we are getting the Annual this month though.

There's a one month break between story arcs. 14 & 15 are one story arc, so they'll come out back to back months, then a month off before 16, then a month off before 17, then 17,18 & 19 will come out in consecutive months.

oh, ok. Why do it this way? Just to give yourself and the artist more time?

Between that and the comment above "I'm sure others do appreciate your efforts ," it makes me wonder why someone would even bother buying it.

Mike mate, you've totally taken my comments out of hand. Maybe I didnt write it clearly enough but what I meant is that we as Phantom phans all think we are 'experts' and so we think we could do better....

To give the entire process a little more time. I'm actually almost a year ahead of schedule and the art team is currently working on issues 16 & 17. However, in case someone gets sick (as is the case with LTB) or something else unforeseen occurs, the book can still come out with some regularity. Often times, licensed books from small publishers will come out in a bi-monthly schedule, but we didn't want to make you wait so long between part one and two (and sometimes three) of story arcs, so we devised this monthly/bi-monthly schedule.

Ah, well yes, that is far different than what I perceived from your earlier posts. Ah, the joys of internet communication. wink

I went to a Poker Night @ local comic book shop this last weekend... it only cost $5.00 to buy in for the game, but you got all the  and pizza that you can handle (and if you know me, you know I can handle my  quite well)
Before the game started I walked around the shop at looked at all the books that they carry.... and what did I see? PHANTOM #13!

Now if you goto most common stores, you will not see this title (or most MOONSTONE books) Most shops only carry what they know will sell.... if they only took the chance on books that are Worth Buying.... they just might end up with a hit on their hands...

So, I got the latest book... I liked it much more than the last issue (the art is much improved over the prior issue) I'm going to go out of my way to pick up the next issue.
Mike~ You have done what the edtiors have wanted you to do: You have brought New Readers to the book.

Who knows? I might even pick up some of the other titles... looks like Moonstone is a company that is a good match for a comic fan like me~~!
