Being a lazy reviewer (and lately running out of time to do a proper review), I'll just copy what I wrote elsewhere:

It was a great read. I loved the story (the storytelling reminded me a lot of the smoothness of Silversparrow) and the art, as always, leaves me at awe: every single panel is pure perfection. And I feel the urge to marry all your female characters... Shifty I know... Eh

Anyway, awesome beginning!

Looking forward to more goodness! What did everybody else think?

Read this earlier today and thought it was GREAT! The art is just beautiful to look at. The story was pretty cool too, left me wanting to find out more so that's a good thing. Looking forward to #2 Grin
I thought #1 was VERY cool, there are a lot of Superhero style comics out there which are all very much alike, but this new series is totally different. Like Niko, I also want to marry both the female charcters in the storyEh I really need a girlfriend in my lifelaugh The action scenes looked beautiful and there was even a bit of humour thrown in there. Come on, the scene where Julian escapes the fighters, crash lands to Earth to be met by the rest of the group giving him a hard look, and then he winks and flashes them a smile was AWESOME! I would have to say my fav. character so fas would have to be Nadia, she looks like a lot of fun.

The only flaw I found with this comic was I was unsure about there powers? Julian looks like he has the power to create anything from his mind? Nadia seems to be able to teleport? I have no idea what Luther's powers are and by the looks of things Bev can fly and shoots lighting from her hands? Anyways, BRILLIANT first issue and I can't wait for #2!!thumbs up

Ok, so there are 2 women and 2 of us, I can have Nadia and you can have Bev?

Look at us, we're talking about marrying 2 fictional characters.....

I think we should just pretend this conversation never exsisted Niko?

Hmm, we could do that, yes. One is better than none. (Still two... ;p)

We could do that, but I don't think that'll help. I mean, Zeu and Moonstone are raising a brow right now and wonder why they deserve having fans like us reading their books. Think Shifty It's too late, I'm tellin' ya, too late.

But we could still keep it quiet. Shhh Maybe they won't notice... Pray

(Man, I love these smileys...)

LOL

Relax, guys, you can have one each

Thanks, Shep!

Thanks, Brucey!

You guys are GREAT and I really appreciate your support Grin

Brucey, here´s a little more detail on the characters powers and abilities.

Nadia "Tripper" Markov is a shifter. You could call her a teleporter since she can shift into a parallel dimension where the spacial references are different from ours here and almost instantly re-emerge in our world 2 miles away. She can also shift other objects or people and in issue #2 she will learn to use this power "aggressively".

Luther "Dreadnought" Kilmore is able to generate a field around him which enhances his strenght and durability.Initially, I called it a Vest since it´s sort of a survival suit, able to provide him with air, stable temperature and ability to withstand high pressures. It also negates inertia, so he can pretty much fall from a tall building and not be subjected to the deadly desaceleration/ impact with the ground. The glasses Luther wears when in this form help compensate the color drift.

Julian "Visionary" Lerner has the ability to manipulate matter, meaning that he can build pretty much anything, depending on his know-how. He´s an artist and a mechanic, so building the engine for the Infiniteens´van was not a prob since he knows car engines inside out. However, the ability to  build A.I. drones or sun-powered flight suits able to navigate gravitational waves and reach mach 2 speeds go WAY beyond what a regular 18 years old kid should know, which is what got his friends (especially Luther) wondering.

Beverly "Twinblast" Garcia rides the electromagnetic spectrum. Her superparticle field allows her to channel powerful blasts or fly by repelling the earth´s ferromagnetic core.

On issue #2 the kids get to flex their muscles quite a bit, so you´ll see them use their powers WAY more extensively.
In their Baptism of Fire, some will learn new things about theircapabilities (and limits), others will learn something about themselves.

Thanks for the info Zeuthumbs up Also, VERY cool picture of Nadia!

Also, when does #2 come out? The Moonstone site says that it was supposed to be out on Thursday....

Not a bad start. Definetly earned a three issue try out from me.
The four leads are interesting, both personality and visually.

The story is a bit of a jumble. The bad guy comes across as vague. Though, with a sidekick named Miss Meankiss, I'll cut him some slack.

There is such a rush to introduce as much as possible that I spent most of the issue going 'What? End of the world? It's only issue 1. Did I pick up an Infinite CRisis tie in by mistake?"
Hoping that will smooth out as we go.
