Howdy all!
If you haven't seen the news about Marvel's latest Iron Fist comic, it seems to have a Phantom vibe going for it now. Danny Rand is now the latest in a line of champions that goes back several centuries (sound familiar?).
While they are not all of a single bloodline, they all do apparently sturggle and fight against raiders, pirates, etc.. One of them apparently stood against one of Ghengis Khan's armies. It looks to be an interesting read.
Opinions, rants, third person narratives?

Funny, I was just thinking about whether or not I should pick up this title, by the sounds of things, I think I will have to pick this one up!!

Decent first issue witrh a nice recap of Iron Fist's origin and some great fight scenes.
Not sure how I feel turning Danny into the Phantom. I know they've mentioned there have been other Iron Fists in the past, but this issue seems to hint it's connected to Danny's family line, rather then being a 'chosen champion of Kun'Lun' thing.
Gonna stick with it for a couple more issues to see where it goes.
Be nice to actually have a marvel on going series to look forward to.

I was thinking of picking up this series but didn't. I'm barely affording the comics I buy now, so yeah. I'm thinking of picking up the trades but what I've seen looks really cool.

Just checking in to see how fans felt about the first two issues now out. I'm especially interested in folks' opinion about the female Iron Fist. The scenes where she sets an entire Pirate Fleet on fire was amazing!

The idea of Iron Fist being a legacy is interesting, but it feels like they are jamming too much of into the story.
Wish they'd concentrated on just Danny and the WW1 guy.
Despite that complaint, the past Iron Fist scenes were cool.
What was up with that Luke/Danny scene? When did Danny become the funny one?
and was Iron Fist on anybody's list of heroes you'd expect to use the phrase 'She's hot.'?
#2 was a bit of a stumble but I like it enough to come back.
