It's almost a given. With every successful franchise comes fandom, and with every fan-base comes the mystery and glory that is "dream casting." Love it or love to hate it, dream casting beckons as surely as the siren song of Lucas-bashing over the Star Wars prequels or the perennial debate that erupts with each new actor who plays James Bond.

So what are you waiting for? Go ahead! Embrace your inner casting director. Be your own Editor in Chief. Who would you like to see play Dr. Banzai and company if there were a new film/TV series in the works? Who would you love to see doing pencils on the comic books? Who would you like to see pulling duty on future covers and posters?

For my part, I've thought for a while that Charles Burns would be a very interesting choice of artists to pair up with a Banzai comic book. It would be an unusual pairing in some ways, but I think that's part of why it appeals to me.
I don't know if I could recast Buckaroo.
I think any attempt at a remake using today's special effects and whatnot would kill some of the cheesy, Republic serial on acid feel.

Though, I wouldn't mind seeing Alicia Silverstone in the pink fringe, Penny Priddy dress.

I keep thinking of dream teams for the comic.
I see the jetcar flying through a Steve Ditko drawn 8th dimension.

With a strong editor, Grant Morrison I think could write BB.
Or John Ostrander/ Tim Truman.
Maybe Gail Simone/ John Byrne.
Scott Kollins
Robert Kirkman.
Heck, hire me! I'd love to write Buckaroo and I'd work cheap.
