Got the book from the store yesterday. Beautiful pictures and story line.
Frankly speaking, this is the BEST from Moonstone so far. I wish moonstone to publish more books like this.

Moonstone made history.thumbs up

Look at the details in the pictures, especially the green dragon.thumbs up

I don't find any flaws in this book interms of story and picture.
It is written well within the Lee Falk way.

The Cover art is really a collectors special.thumbs up

Hope you guys would agree with this.

Thanks

Well I went into the local Perth WA comic store to pick it up and after ringing them up and saying that they have them in, I go to pick it up and they apparently got short changed and do not have enough to go around and I have to be the unlucky one not too have one waiting in my box....

aaarrrrgggghhhh makes me so angry, this is the second time this has happened, first was with legacy.

(rant for the day)
I have to say this is my favorite Moonstone Phantom book to date. All five tales were well told. Everything fit together nicely. Some very nice sequential art. Everyone should be proud of this. This is the kind of comic book I am going to be glad to pass on to my godson/nephew when he is old enough to appreciate it. Good job folks.

Please do it again next year!

I would love to see more Phantom stories set at different times in history.

Arrgh, I can't afford the postage for it at the moment so it may be another week or so before I get my mitts on it. God I'm looking forward to it though.

Couldn't agree more! Excellent book and I hope that we're going to see more of this! Every creator involved should get another chance on the Phantom mythos. Great story, great art! Thanks for the entertainment!!

One thing I should mention separately: This is my first exposure to Graham Nolan's art. I've been reading his name in these boards, but hadn't seen (or really looked for, I've to admit) any of his work. I loved it and I'd like to see more of him at Moonstone. I'd love to see him in a western title, too.

That's not to say the rest of the artists weren't as good. I just mention this because Nolan seems to be a legendary Phantom artist and now, me being a newbie to all things Phantom, I understand why this is so.

Thanks for the treat!

Go out and grab the two Graham Nolan Sundays collections Moonstone put out in 2005 (it was 2005 right). Those are brilliant, even with the mess up in page alignment. Really good reads!

The Annual builds up fine, but then is a complete let down.

Imagine this: you're watching a well-orchestrated bout... and all it takes is one badly crafted sucker punch to spoil the end.

Or better still: you have a wonderful meal, and in the last morsels off the plate... you uncover... a dead roach!

That's exactly the case here.

Mike Bullock's segment has the weakest script but he also had the most unenviable uphill task -- the conclusion of the tale.

Still it might be considered a nitpick (among a few others in the book).

But, Juan Ferreyra and Mike Bullock are unpardonably guilty of a most horrible travesty: The turbaned major-domo poseur (thanks a heap, Paramount!) is no Guran.

So, Mike and Ron: Hang your heads in shame!

Sounds good. I'll look it up.

Csrins: Sorry, man, I disagree. While I enjoy Mike's work a lot, I don't think I'm prejudiced. His part was no let-down to me. If you have time, could you elaborate what you didn't like about it?

I also enjoyed that every Phantom is a character of his own and this character dictates the story. They have weaknesses, they have strengths: you see the difference in the storytelling!

Couldn't find it at my LCSWall So I've had to buy it from Moonstone online, should be at least 2 weeks until it comes:sad02: Some very positive reviews for it so far which is a very good sign of what I have instore for meDance
Very nice issue. Everyone associated with this annual deserves to be congratulated for a job well-done. Moonstone has released two very nice Phantom stories(Man Eaters & Five Days of the Dragon) in quick succession. This should make all the phans very happy.
I will once again request the folks at Moonstone-- Please make sure that you publish ATLEAST one Phantom comics per month. Making the phans wait any longer is like torturing them.
