The Phantom is the BEST character going around.. but one of the least recognized!! So I recently started going around to a few boards [mainly the Comic Book Resource Forum] and tried to promote awareness of the Phantom through starting up discussions and putting him in my nickname and stuff. So far I don't know if it's working or not.. but I'm still trying!
Anyone got any ideas on how else to bring the goodness of The Phantom to people?
I've done quite a bit of this myself, Brucey, and who knows, maybe in the long term it will have a positive effect.
I think the best idea on how to bring out the word of the Phantom is to tell everybody just how awesome this character is.
Tell people that this is one of the best comic book series around, IMO far superior than any of the Marvel/DC stuff being published at the moment.
Also, I think that great Phantom promotion video at Youtube should be spread around the Internet faster than the speed of lightning, as it's an amazingly effective idea on how to get some attention to the character:

Oh, and all the interviews the Moonstone creators are constantly doing are not exactly having a negative effect either.
As for the Phantom being "one of the least recognized characters", I have to disagree with you, Brucey. Maybe in the US he used to be, but thanks to Moonstone, he's gotten attention in his real homecountry in the last few years which we haven't seen since the 1996 Billy Zane film. Still, it's far from enough yet, but I figure Moonstone is just getting started. :mrgreen:
To have good popular stories coming out regularly would probably help the most imho
