This is slightly off topic, but anyway: When might it be realistic to hope for these new Bullock-written stories to appear in trade paperbacks? (if it's in your plans to release more of them, that is)

Honestly, I'm not real sure how Moonstone plans to handle that. I'll ask the Man in Black and get back to you on that.

I always do. Silenced

I finally got to read Walker's Line, and I really, really enjoyed it. It was extremely nice to, for once, see the Phantom actually mess things up quite badly, in his tireless search for justice... Unlike what was the case in Egmont's Phantom: Year One stories, the Phantom is not even close to be the man he is today, and he seems to follow his emotions rather than properly think things through. The older Phantom of today would probably not be that desperate to get bark the Good Mark medallion, but here, it seems to mean everything to him. The young Phantom is still dealing with his father's sudden death and his newfound, borderline bizarre calling in life, so I like the fact that he seems a little confused and, at times, like a fish out of water.

Falk's Childhood of the Phantom is one of my all time favourites, and I love seeing other writers create stories that deal with Kit's past and his life before he became the Phantom.

Maybe it would be an idea to actually re-tell COTP one day, so that new readers, who do not wish to hunt down the old original story, could learn about the youth of the 21st Phantom. It's a great story, how one man sacrifices his entire life to dedicate his existence to a seemingly hopeless cause, and something that could be further explored.

Overally, I really liked the story. Even though I also liked the Tiger's Blood arc, Mike's already been showing a huge improvement since those issues, with some quite memorable dialogue (which was rare in non-Falk Phantom stories before Moonstone started). Same goes for Carlos Magno, who I wish would draw more Phantom stuff in the future (but maybe his Phantom should have looked a little younger than he does in this story?).
I'm sorry, it seems I posted this in a slightly wrong thread. I'm afraid I did not manage to delete it. However, hope you read my views on it anyway.
