A very good story. Beautiful sketches. The cover art is really very good.
Mike Bullock has won "HIM". Especially the wording were carefully written by Mike, Example--"Our family fortune was made on......."

A nice explanation about the changes made in showing the Phantom's Good Mark from Wilson McCoy to Sy Barry's time.

The only thing on which the editor has to concentrate/improve is the coloring of the pictures---It's too dark in some of the areas--Will be much better if the dark content is avoided in the future issues. The dark coloring keeps away the reader from enjoying the details of the sketches.

Again the above mentioned is my opinion/suggestion, not an advice.thumbs up

Eager to read the next part.

Thanks
Vethalan

I will be picking this up tomorrow when I go to my LCS for Free Comic Book DayGrin
I haven't finished reading it. However I do find it a vast improvement over #13.
OTOH, the cover makes me glad that Messrs. Blevins and Austin had nothing to do with the interior artwork!

Just my opinion.

But, it is a cover that might possibly "sell" the issue through, it's a sort of a throwback to the pulp covers that graced the 30's.

Might've been better in color though?

The cover was done in black and white as an homage to The Phantom's roots. Personally, I love it. And, as covers go, it does it's job (which is to make a comic stand out on the racks) quite nicely.

Very good job, guys. I love Mike's writing, and the art was beautiful, too. A great setup for the next arc. I can't wait to read it!! Grin
Picking it up tom and will review it next week Grin
Looking forward to it
Man, I am loving this book right now:mrgreen: #16 was just awesome!

Apart from some very stiff talk from the natives, everything else was great! Some gorgeous art from Silvestre and some brilliant writing from Mike. Mike throws in some elements of the Phantom legend in this one which is great to see! Last issue, when the Phantom was in the city, the Phantom legend was almost none existent, this issue [which is set in the jungle] the legend of the Ghost-Who-Walks is left right and center, and I am loving it!

And, what is up with that kick-ass cover? Drool

Overall, it was bloody brilliant and I cannot wait to see The Phantom's one man war against HIM.
Glad you liked it, Brucey! Grin
