In case someone didn't notice, if you look at the moonstonebooks.com front page there's a small ad for a holiday special featuring "All NEW stories of Buckaroo Banzai, The Phantom, etc..." According to one of the mods on the forum, the story is written by Rauch and Richter. Cool!

The Holiday special, clever marketing. If you want to see the BB stuff, you have to pick up the rest of the stories too. If you want the other stories, you will have the BB story too. Cross marketing it's called.
But I have a hard time believing this is going to be "the whole story" because the next BB adventure is said to be "longer" than the mini series, so, the conclusion might be that this Holiday Special is more of a teaser, or the first installment of the longer series.
I'm looking forward to it, for the BB stuff.

Just got the holiday special and thought the Buckaroo story was great. Bizarre, but great.
Only suggestion for future stories: Lay off the aliens for awhile. Let's see some more World Crime League, or exploring or weird science run amok.
I'll agree with the "no aliens" idea for a bit. Let's see the gang take on Death Dwarves, Nautiloid, Xan's Bravos, disco-fans....you know, the really evil stuff.
