That's great great news. The last Phantom Annual was a blast, one of the best in years, and this one promises to be as good or better!

Thanks for the enthusiasm, Glen. Grin

The Phantom and Mandrake the Magician in one book together – now that does indeed sound like magic wink

It will be interesting to see your take on Mandrake. Will it be his classic look, or an updated version? Will you include a refreence to the newspaper version of how they me (and Mandrake's appearance at the Phantom's and Diana's wedding) or will this be a fresh start? Nevertheless, I think it's a great idea to include a Special moment such as this in the Annual.

Great, know we know that, and I look forward to see Kit Walker and Mandrake meet once again, for the first time in a non-Falk story (I think).

The Phantom has been an occasional guest in the Fred Fredericks-written Mandrake strip, which of course is non- and post-Falk.

The Phantom and Mandrake teamed up back in 2003. The story was printed via Frew and I'm not sure if it's been printed up in Scandinavia as it was dubbed an "Australian Exclusive" or something (don't have the issue in front of me soo...) Mind you, the story was really low quality...

But hey! This is great news that Mandrake will be appearing in the next Annual!

I actually read, and enjoyed, the Fred Fredericks story, but I somehow forgot it while writing the last post... Sorry.
Oh...I thought it would be Batman.
Mmmm I will be interested in seeing how this pans out. From the various stories and shows (DOTE), I thought the Phantom and Mandrake together in the same story did not flow nicely and suffered from an overload of super heroes..
When are we going to learn WHY the Phantom needs to team up with Mandrake again? Who will draw this story? When is it expected to be published?

Oh, and that Hollywood writer?

If you haven't seen it elsewhere yet, the writer is Kevin (Underworld, New Warriors) Grevioux.

As for the why, well you'll have to wait to read the book to find out.

The artist is new to Moonstone, but I think Phans will like his work.

As for the when, it should be early 2008.

I can't wait!! The first Annual was, simply put, amazing! thumbs up
