Voting for the best and worst of 2007 has begun over at ChronicleChamber.com.

Voting is open to anyone, not just forum members.

As with last year voters must
  • Vote for ONE story from EACH PUBLISHER for Best Story
  • Vote for ONE story from EACH PUBLISHER for Worst Story
  • Vote for ONE STORY from ANY PUBLISHER for Story of the Year.
But....something different looms!

This year we will also have votes for the Best Writer and Artist/Penciler.

So, again vote for ONE writer and artist/penciler from ANY PUBLISHER.

Honorable mentions can be made if you would like but they will only be counted in the final tally in the result of a tie.

Voting will run until the end of January when all votes will be tallied and the winner announced.

You can send us your votes by posting on the CC forums, here in this thread or e-mailing them to us, whichever works best for you.

Have fun!
My complete list of comments can now be seen over at the CC, but I would like to post the Moonstone-related material here. As you can see, the men in the moon delievered my favourite story of the year, from any publisher:

Best Moonstone story:
Man-Eaters, by Rafael Nieves and Vatche Mavlian

2nd: Invisible Children, by Mike Bullock and Silvestre Szylagi
3rd: The Phantom Annual, by Ron Marz, Chuck Dixon, Tony Bedard, Rafael Nieves and Mike Bullock, Ruben Procopio, Graham Nolan, Joe Prado, Tony Akins and Juan Ferreyra (phew!).

Best story of the year from any publisher:
(drum roll)

Man-Eaters (Moonstone).
An incredibly well written, VERY memorable story, with an extremely mysterious, creepy atmosphere that really gets under one's skin. Rafael Nieves have written way too few Phantom stories (give us even more special projects by him, please!), but despite of this, he has a perfect understanding of what makes the character so uniquely cool. This story certainly reminded me about why I became a fan in the first place, and the new wide-vision format is used to perfection. Flawless.

Mike Bullock has now REALLY found his voice as a Phantom writer. I noticed his debut, Tiger's Blood, got some critique from fans (I personally loved both parts), but right now, there is a reason that most of the critics of Moonstone's stories have been silenced. And that reason is, off course, Bullock has managed to combine the classic feeling of Lee Falk's character with an edgier, modern touch, that makes the material both familiar and refreshingly original at the same time. Also, it should be mentioned, he also wrote the only story this year that managed to move me to tears; Walker's Mile. That's not something you see every day.
Keep up the great work, Mike!
The Annual, Prose and Man Eaters are the best overall Moonstone complete comics for this year!
