Ok guys, here is my entry. After seeing Puggs I'm sure mine hasn't got a hope in hell of winning but I put a lot of work into it so I thought I'd share it with you anyway. It's also on my DA.

Hey Everyone,
I'm new to forums here but I wanted to post my cover for you all to take a peek at. PuggDogg, your stuff is extremely well done. Good luck to everyone who entered, it was fun.
Matt

That's awesome. I love cartoony stuff. Not sure it would work for the Phantom on a regular basis, but it's always neat to check out a different take.

You should be working on all-ages books for someone.

Yeah might as well, they did that with Dogmatix from the Asterix and Obelix comics.

I have a few and they are quite funny and light hearted Tongue03

Dogmatix has his own comics now? I haven't read Asterix comics in a couple of years, but used to to read them on a non-stop basis. Really great stuff and some instant classics in there. I might have to look into this.

Matt, really nice cover dudethumbs up

I really liked working on the Phantom cover. He is a character I never tried to tackle before.
PUGGDOGG: I'd like to have this included into the PhanWorks Deviant Art page. Thanks for the offer. I have an account but I haven't done anything with it yet.

Mike: I ultimately would love to be working on all ages stuff. It is what I am trying to target with my style. I thought a cartoony look was something different for the Phantom, and figured why not throw it out there. Personally for a character that has been around so long it might be kind of cool to see a "Phantom Animated" type series.

It's been added now. Thanks. What is your DA account name? So I can link the pic back there.

PUGGDOGG my DA account is mdaday.deviantart.com. There isn't much there yet... I am just starting to get stuff uploaded.
Thanks

They are not new but old, ebay is the best bet but they are quite popular, I got mine a few years ago.

I also enjoyed the cartoony look of the Phantom, I enjoyed the chapter from the Phantom Annual were he was in Tibet which I enjoyed the 'more' cartoony feel. Maybe some Magna etc would help get some fans..

This should do it for me. My 6th entry. Twice as much as what I originally planned on doing.

Not that I didn't like your other submissions, but that one is (IMHO) the best one you've done, hands down. Good job! thumbs up

Ahh yes I think I can see why. With this one I created a bit of a story to it. Even though some of the others sort of did too such as the drowning one. This one we can see the pirate has attacked someone or something and this does not go down well with our hero. Also I think the composition works well. Plus I hadn't done one with a comic book look to it. The first two nearly did but not quite. I guess I'm pretty pleased with this one. Also the painted one I'm very proud of.

Thanks Mike.
