I remembe Sy Barry being mentioned, if it's him I swear I will pass out from excitementGrin

I didn't even think about him... If Moonstone has somehow managed to lure him out of retirement for a one-off story, this issue would be a BIG seller due to every "classic" Phantom fan in the world buying it.

Having hat the honour of meeting the great man in Oslo, Norway, back in 2001, I seem to recall that he said he would like to do a Phantom story for the comic book format, so maybe the idea is not as unbelieveable as I firsth thought. Stranger things have certainly happened.

I scrapped the original plot I had going for 21-25 and crafted a new one, so I figured it meant I needed to revisit this question and say Yes, you will be seeing Luaga soon, along with some serious political machinations.

Cool. I've missed Luaga from the books, both Egmont and Moonstone.

Sounds good to me:mrgreen:

I have a question. What will be your take on Diana?

After re-reading some of the Ben Raab issues. I really found that I did not like his take on Diana at all. She seemed to be rather strident and bossy. The prototypical b@ll-breaking feminist with a need to get up in everyone's face (think of Lois Lane). Part of the treat for me in collecting comic books is that it provides me with an opportunity to read about strong very feminine women.

But I think that there is a vast difference between a woman who carries herself with assuredness and confidence, and one who throws her weight around and who needs to be the center of attention. I am hoping that you will make her strength more 'quiet'.

You'll be able to tell for yourself in issues 20 and 21. Grin

Its question time!Dance

1) A long time ago Mike (and I mean a LONG time ago) you mentioned a special Phantom mini series. Umm.. what happened to that?Eh

2) The current "Checkmate" arc is being told as the "biggest Phantom arc in Moonstone stories" or sometihng like this. With the first two issues of the arc, have sales increased??

Thanks.

1) The artist who was to do it that mini ended up having to back out, so we shelved it until we get the right artist. It's a different type of story that requires the right art style to make it work.

2) From what I've been told, yes.

DratWall Fingers crossed you can get the right artist soon. More Phantom the better!

And I'm glad that sales are up (not that there was anything wrong with the sales in the first place) just nice to see interest in the book pick up. It'll be interesting to see what sales for the rest of the arc will look like compared to before.
