No, I don't know him, I just got to talk to him for a while when he was in Sydney for the Writers Festival. He is a really, really nice bloke!
Sounds cool.
So, you've got one of the greatest writers in comics right in front of you, and the first thing he does is talk about Tori Amos?

Sounds cool.

Not exactly, no. He gave a talk about his books, films and comics etc for about an hour and then signed books for all that were there. I was the last in line - deviously planned, so I could talk to him for a bit longer than others (I also go a photo).
I asked him what he thought of the forhtcoming tribute album and he said he was faltered. I mentioned that I'd never heard Tori beofre (who is one of the "main"artists on the tribute album) but knew her and Neil were mates so I was looking forward to it. Neil asked what kind of music I liked, I told him and he suggested that i check out her albumsif I could.
The talk he gave boefore hand was brilliant too! I hope he comes here again!
Sounds awesome. What was he doing in Australia, BTW?
The Sydney Writers Festival. It as um, festival where all these international and AUssie writers do talks and such all ove rthe city. It's absolutaly brilliant for the literary geek in you. Howeve I had to spend three and a half hours on a train to get there.

Sounds exactly like what I did when I met Sy Barry -- in person.
(I too love saying that...)
Yeah, I met him as well. What a bloke!
Damn, then I can't brag about that...
