“Five Writers and Five Artists Bring Together Five Tales of the Phantom”

With the 70th Anniversary of the Phantom upon us in 2006, Moonstone Books has pulled out all the stops in bringing several major Phantom projects to life. With Phantom: Legacy, Phantom: Law of the Jungle and Phantom: The Man-Eaters on the way, as well as the announcement of new regular Phantom series creative team Mike Bullock and Gabriel Rearte taking over on issue twelve, the Moonstone mavens felt the need for a fifth event to round out the anniversary celebration.

Enter Ron (Ion, Cyberforce) Marz, Chuck (Batman, Transformers) Dixon, Tony (Exiles, Negation) Bedard, Rafael (Vampire the Masquerade, Phantom) Nieves and Mike (Lions, Tigers and Bears, Phantom) Bullock.

Once the five writers came together, they quickly constructed a story worthy of the Phantom’s anniversary. It wasn’t long before they enlisted the help of five great artists to bring this story to life.

Disney animator and sculptor Ruben Procopio, Graham (Phantom Sunday strip) Nolan, Joe (Rann-Thanagar War) Prado, Tony (Fables) Akins and Juan (Small Gods) Ferreyra all answered the call.

A Phantom tale like no other, told by ten top talents, and only a giant-size Annual could hold it! "Five Days of the Dragon" spans five centuries, as five different generations of The Phantom battle the dreaded pirates of the Singh Brotherhood to control a powerful artifact from feudal China. But even if the Ghost Who Walks defeats his cutthroat enemies, can he hope to withstand the ancient, mystic power that will be unleashed?

All this, plus a superstar pin-up gallery! If you've never read an issue of The Phantom, this is the place to start!

Cover art coming soon!

Man, that is some top talent you guys got their. Would love to see that cover image! Is it just me or has any one else noticed that when ever the Singh have appeared so far they've been searching for something?

If all goes as planned, December. It's amazing how hard it was to coordinate fourteen creators to get this done.

Who's doing the cover?
BRUCEY
Doug Klauba I belive

The cover was done by Bret Blevins and Terry Austin, with an alternate cover by Ruben Procopio. Doug is doing the prose anthology covers.

Bugger. Wrong again.
A little birdie (no, not the one from Lions, Tigers and Bears) told me the Annual is in the upcoming Previews catalog. Grin
